Compliance & Policy Guidelines

The criteria described herein are not exhaustive. We reserve the right to reject any campaign at any time, which we believe could be harmful to users and/or our publishing partners.

General Regulations and Restrictions

  1. IMPORTANT: With Branded Search campaigns, users engaging with NewProgrammatic ads MUST end up on the website of an advertised brand.

  2. IMPORTANT: For Generic Keyword Search campaigns, users may be also directed to legitimate/ brand accepted/ official third-party sellers.

  3. Landing pages must be of good quality and/or resolution.

  4. Look-a-like landing pages and websites are strictly prohibited.

  5. Use of trademarks and brand logos is allowed only with the consent of the trademark owner:

    1. Promoting products or services not related to the brand is not allowed.

    2. Misrepresentation of affiliation with the brand is not allowed.

  6. Adult content is not allowed.

  7. Smartlinks, rotating landing pages/offers are not allowed.

Common Rejection Reasons

Campaigns will be rejected due to the following rules:

  1. Landing page is not visible due (includes HTTP 5xx server and 4xx client errors).

  2. Redirects to other brands, affiliated shops, or websites.

  3. Promoting products or services not related to the brand.

  4. The use of texts, promoting a product or a service on behalf of celebrities or politicians without their official permission and consent.

  5. Use of celebrities or politicians’ names to sensationalize the promoted content (“fake news” and negative representation of the individuals featured).

  6. Promoting prohibited content.

  7. Use of prohibited practices.

  8. Lack of domain (destination URL is an IP address).

  9. Auto-downloads (without user consent and click).

  10. Spreading malware (i.e. viruses, trojans, ransomware, adware, spyware, rootkits).

  11. Copyright infringement.

  12. Trying to run adult campaigns.

  13. Running pages with no exit (i.e. text boxes that are too large to close, browsing lockers, back-button hijack).

  14. Video or sound clips with excessive volume.

  15. Rotating or substitution of allowed with prohibited content.

  16. Phishing, imitation of interfaces of well-known sites (e.g. online shops, messengers, applications, banks, government institutions).

  17. Cloaking, any techniques for hiding real content.

Prohibited Content

  1. Adult

  2. Tech Support

  3. Illegal or illicit content and activities

  4. Trade-in illegal goods or substances

  5. Weapons, explosives, and other dangerous content

  6. Violent, shocking, frightening, or provoking images and websites

  7. Violent pornography and sexualization of minors

  8. Use of politicians or celebrities' names and pictures

  9. Radical political ideology, religious views, or other propaganda materials

  10. Hate Speech and Discrimination

  11. Political advertising

  12. Fake news

Prohibited Practices

  1. Lack of domain (destination URL is an IP address).

  2. Auto-downloads (without user consent and click).

  3. Spreading malware (i.e. viruses, trojans, ransomware, adware, spyware, rootkits).

  4. Copyright infringement.

  5. Trying to run adult campaigns.
